Sharing Panel
The Sharing Panel is an interactive audit tool built into the My Drive page. It shows every person who has a sharing relationship with your files and lets you filter and act on files by person and role.
Accessing the Panel
Open the Sharing Panel from the panel selector dropdown in the top bar, or from the sidebar under My Drive.
Tabs
All
Lists every person who has any sharing relationship with your files. Each person card shows their name, email, and a file count chip.
- Click the file count to filter the file table to files involving that person
- Expand a card to see a role breakdown:
| Stat | Description |
|---|---|
| All Files | Total files where this person appears |
| My Shares | Files you own that are shared with this person |
| Owner | Files this person owns |
| Editor | Files where they have edit access |
| Commenter | Files where they have comment access |
| Viewer | Files where they have view access |
Each row in the breakdown is clickable and applies a role-specific filter.
My Shares
Shows only people you have shared files with (files where you are the owner). The same card layout applies, but filtered to your outgoing shares.
A dropdown on the tab button provides role-specific views: My Shares (all), Owners, Viewers, Editors, Commenters.
Transfers
Shows files involved in pending ownership transfers:
| Group | Description |
|---|---|
| Outgoing | Files you own where transfer is pending |
| Incoming | Files being transferred to you |
Each group can be expanded to see individual users and their file counts. Click a user to filter to the relevant transfer files.
Search and Pagination
A search field at the top filters the people list by name or email. The list is paginated with configurable page sizes (3 to 50 items per page).

The Sharing Panel is often the starting point for audit workflows:
