Dashboard

The Dashboard displays your Google account information, subscription details, and provides quick links to manage your account on the Drive Toolbox website.

Account Information

The top section of the Dashboard shows your current account details:

  • Display name and avatar from your Google account
  • Email address associated with the account
  • Subscription tier (Free, Personal, Pro, Enterprise)
  • Subscription status (Active, Canceled, Past Due, etc.)

If you are on the Free or Personal plan, the Dashboard displays a contextual prompt suggesting an upgrade to a higher tier.

Pro subscriptions are designed for individual users who manage multiple Google Drive accounts. They are not family or team plans. Each Google account added to a Pro subscription has the same access as a Personal account, and you can easily switch between accounts using the Avatar menu at the top-right-hand corner of the Desktop app.

The Dashboard provides six buttons that open the Drive Toolbox website in your default browser. If you are not already signed in on the web, you will need to log into your account in the browser.

For Free Edition users, the "Change Plan" button reads "Upgrade Now" instead.

Feature Requests and Bug Reports

The Dashboard includes an in-app navigation section with two buttons:

  • Feature Requests -- Opens the feature request page where you can submit and vote on ideas for new features.
  • Report a Bug -- Opens the bug report form where you can describe issues you have encountered.

These pages are built into the desktop app and do not require a browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Dashboard includes an FAQ section covering common account questions:

  1. How do I add another Google Drive account to a Pro subscription? -- Use the "Manage Accounts" link to add accounts on the web. Once added, switch between accounts in the desktop app.
  2. Can I switch plans later? -- Yes. Upgrades take effect immediately with prorated credit. Downgrades retain access at the current tier until the next billing cycle.
  3. Can I cancel anytime? -- Yes. Cancellation retains access until the end of the current billing cycle. No refunds are issued after cancellation.
  4. What is the difference between Personal and Pro? -- Basic supports a single Google Drive account. Pro supports up to 10 accounts (such as your work account and one or more personal Gmail accounts that you own) - with all the paid, Personal-account level features.
